Celeb,
"Your Best Breeders" sums it up in a nutshell. The are your best. IF you sell your best then you are dropping the quality of your whole strain and loft. But one thing to remember is this....what one person sees as there Best producers may be different to another fancier. Anyway, There are many reasons why you would not give your best to a "New Fancier". For one...they have not proven themselves to stick with this hobby...and two...let them have some good birds and see if they still have the birds in a year and they are healthy....then you know that they are committed to pigeons. There are some fanciers that will sell some of there best breeders...just for perch space... sometimes you have to be out with the old and in with the new...to move forward. Also, there is really nothing wrong with getting offspring from some fanciers "BEST" Breeders. Very good breeders are to hard to come by. I am sure if Best breeders were a dime a dozen there would be more fanciers just "Giving them away" I think it does happen sometimes..it is just a matter of timing.

I wouldn't pick my birds from anybodys breeder loft. I would pick my birds from the air from thier kits. Then build from there.
