Hi Guys

Does the size of a bird matter. I am a newbie and let to believe that the smaller and compact the bird is the better, faster and tighter the roll will be.
I have a bigger build bird in my kit and he out class most of the smaller birds in terms of speed, quality, debt and frequency.

Ced,

If size matter to you, then you can develop your family of birds to be of a smaller size. All what you have to do is inbreed the large cock a bit. That means take his good spinning daughter and mate her back to him.

Size has nothing to do with it. It is just what you like. I have a long cast cock that is ripping it up. I myself like the look of the smaller cast birds...but it does not make a difference in the roll. TO be honsest...when they get up in the air..it is truly hard to tell which bird is the larger one...if it was not for the cut tail feathers. Just my thoughts.
