Hello All, for the record, I and this site do not support the killing or relocation of any federally protected animal by non-authorized, non-governmental employees. What people think is alright to do as long as no one is looking that is thier responsibility. Roller-Pigeon.Com does not advocate or encourage illegal acts. I do not know if what people put up on a website discussion page regarding this matter is protected speech, but I will look into it to satisfy my own curiosity, in any event, suggesting or encouraging wrong doing is NOT supported and we will make a better effort to edit and/or remove any potential offending posts.
I am sorry if some see this as censorship (I am not stopping anyone from speaking on this issue, you just can't speak it here), but self-policing is better than the alternative.
In the meantime, if you have a post that in anyway hints at illegal activities by yourself or hinting that others should, you are requested to remove them or edit them so they comply with the policies of this board.
After a reasonable time period, I will remove the posts that seem in my opinion to advocate illegal activities.
Your understanding is appreciated. ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

The truth is we don't go out of our way to harm them, but they go out of their way to harm us. Go figure...

J. and Motherlode, You both make good points! LOL!!
Hopefully the other sites will catch on. I'm not familiar with the others but if any of you belong, give the list a quick heads-up if you can. Tony's post is a good starting point for them. I don't think he'll mind. You're more than welcome to my follow-up. J. and Motherlode, How are your birds doing?- See you in the roll...--------- Big Al "High Plains Spinner Loft"

I posted a message on another board about this very subject about 2 years ago and caught alot of flack for it. I met a game warden at work about 2 years ago and when he found out I was a pigeon breeder, he told me that they had several Houston area fliers under investigation. He never got into details and I don't know whatever happened with the investigation. It is never a good idea to flaunt an illegal act on a public forum. If you aren't familiar with the penalties for harming a federally protected species, you might want to look it up because it will put you out of flying birds for awhile. I am a flier myself and have lost my share of birds to feathered predators but I personally can't afford to pay the price for being judge, jury and executioner.

Hello everyone,
I read an article regarding the hawk problem, and found that it is pretty much right on point as to how we must adjust to one of God's creatures. I don't hate hawks but I sure don't like when they swoop down on my hard work and scatter them across the sky, never to see the results of my experiments. If you are interested in alternative to hurting these animals and possibly being hit with some serious federal crime, go to Birmingham Rollers of Austin and read the article "Winning by not Flying" it may be of some use to you. Good Luck
