What do you guy's use for long term feeders? when you are going to be gone for a few days? Breeders are fed all they can eat, water is not a problem. Any thing left in kit box with feed in it, feed is tossed out on the ground 1st day I am gone. Do they make a bulk feeder that is harder to fling the feed out? The birds are searching for the favorite seeds and toss out other stuff. I think a deep feed box with smaller holes, just big enough to easily get birds head in and out might work. Any ideas? Bob

Bob if I feed up my kitbirds they will have feed in the crop long into the following day. You can easily take a three day weekend without worrying about them. Breeders I bulk feed , plus pellets are their standard so throwing feed is kept to a min. I use the Bullet type waterers that are made for feed. The biggest thing is water and I keep some huge waterers around just for the purpose of being left. When I am gone for an exteded period I have a buddy house sit and take care of everything.
