So Sorry About that!! Heres my post! lol
Friday I went out to check on birds and there was a Hawk that trapped threw our sputnik trap. We have an aviator cage attached to the trap and it was stuck in there! I took pictures and posted them on my photo site at this address http://thewoodloft.photosite.com/thehawk/
if anyone whats to see pics. It really scared me I was releived to see all of our birds where ok and untouched we where very lucky he went in to the aviation cage and got stuck and didnt go threw the window into the loft where all of our birds where. I think atleast one of them must have been in that cage for him to go straight in there and not inside the loft. The Hawk did finally figure out how to get back out of the cage and once he was in the trap he sqeezed his way out threw the bars in the front of the trap! which is now coverd with hardware cloth so it hopefully wont happen again. I just wanted to share this with every one.

Hey Todd,
I wasn't bashing color....I like color on my birds. I was only saying that breeding strictly for it gets me nothing.

Dan,the color thing wasn't geared in your direction,just a generalization.
I only have rare colors in my parlors,but if an almond, opal lace ,etc. had the total package I would make room for it in my loft and fly it out.Aloha,Todd

TheWoodLoft, nice pictures. I think it is a cooper hawk. Good to hear that you did not lose any bird.

Hence the white feathers on the back, that is a young cooper hawk. Good pictures.
