Rauf, At 6 3/4 inches high I think rollers would have trouble getting feed from the bottom of it. It may be a better roller feeder with the legs removed and sitting on the floor.

Sid I have used this type of feeder to feed my pigeons. If you take the legs off and make a one each cut on all four conners of the feeder and bend the front lip in they will be able to eat.but if you would like to make your own there are very easy and cheap to make.

Thanks guys for sharing ideas. I currently have this feeder (see pics below) and ended up cutting buttom plastic part to make it lower.
It almost broken and need replacement. I would love to hear more about PVC stuff (how to make cheap feeder). The galvanized steel feeder in my original post look really heavy duty and would last longer...

I will do my best to describe how I make feeders out of PVC pipe.in my breakup pins I us a four foot piece of three inch PVC pipe hung vertical with a 90° elbow glued owned to it. At the other end of the 90° elbow I glue in a 3 inch piece of PVC pipe.then I take a 1 x 4 short piece of wood and cut a quarter moon with a jigsaw using the three-inch piece of pipe to make the circle of the quarter Moon. the moon needs to be about 1 inch tall in the center you put this inside the bottom piece of the three-inch PVC pipe to make the birds have to reach over the wood inside the pipe to get the food you can glue in the quarter Moon piece of wood or nail it in.if this description is not good enough e-mail me at rlong101@classicnet.net and i will draw you a picture. I hope this helps you. Now the feeders in my kit box. They are also made out of 3 inch PVC and they lay horizontal. I cut a hole in the front of my kit box the size of the outside diameter of the 3 inch PVC pipe. I laid a 1 x 4 on the inside floor of my kit box for the PVC pipe to slide on.the whole you cut in front of the kit box needs to be about a inch and a quarter off the floor.I then cut a long rectangle in the 3inch PVC large enough for the birds feed in the entire length of the PVC pipe. Own a 36 inch piece of PVC pipe your rectangle would be 30 inches by 2 inches. Then I put the pipe through the whole in the kit box and put of PVC Plastic cap on the inside of the pipe and put a plastic cap on the outside end. I took a 1 x 6 the length of the inside of the kit box over the top of the PVC pipe to keep the birds from dropping in it.this allows me to feed my birds from the outside of the kit box and never have to open the door to feed. I have four kit boxes with two feeders per kit box. One own the left and one on the right of the door of the kit box.this allows all my birds to have a place at the table I would be more than happy to draw a picture and e-mail it to you if you are interested. A hope this helped. Yours in the sport Rick.
