Back in jully 04 you were going to stock a 6 mo, old bird. It did everything right and had heart. It was the first time you stocked one that young. Its been 16 months now. Have you had a chance to see any young in the air out of it. If so how are they doing? Just wondering!
Thanks Tapp

Hi Tapp. He has produced so-so by my standards. A few showing promise from this past breeding season. His brother has outshined him as a producer so far. The best one from the cock you mentioned was doing really well until I lost it in a recent overfly. I'll have to wait until some of the younger ones get into full gear before I can draw any firm conclusions about his future in the stock pen.
Brian.

Brian, Do you fly your wests? Or just show them? Same for the rollers? Thanks, Debbie

Debbie, the Wests are strictly for show. I have given some of my cull marked baldheads to a friend who does fly them and he says they will fly for hours and flip now and then. So it is still in them I presume.
The rollers are fly only. I don't even show them at the flying rollers shows.
Brian.
