Quit talking with this guy, he'll have everyone here wanting to drink poisioned Kool Aid before long , then he'll just go find another audience to talk into a mass suicide, when there are no more roller guys left he'll find a Fantail list and start all over again LOL

Hello All, it is time Big Al and I put this thread to rest. The World Cup organization and all its volunteers are to be commended and congratulated for working so long and hard to do what is often a thankless job.
This “site” is in awe of the job they do year in and year out to promote the sport, often at personal expense. Like any large endeavor with so much to coordinate, duties and tasks are going to fall through the cracks.
If I saw problems with something they were doing and I had an interest in it, I would give them a lot of slack and ask myself what I could do to help or at least offer suggestions for improvement through the proper channels.
Airing out what we don’t like about it in forums like this do not serve any useful purpose but perhaps embarrass volunteers who have good intentions or toward self-aggrandizement. Either one will not be allowed on these pages.
Ask yourself, “Am I part of the solution, or am I a part of the problem”?
Some posts in this thread will be edited or removed as we deem it serves the purposes of promoting the roller hobby.

For those of you that are new to competition or wanting to compete in the future .
Don't let this guy turn you away from this great great fly ,of which this clown has never been a part of in any way shape or form.
It is obvious that his intent is to poison the minds of new flyers against this fly and the people that make it happen .
We have the United States , Canada , England, Holland , Denmark, South Africa , Autrailia, and now Ireland as our newest addition , all pitting teams of Birmingham Rollers against teams of Birmingham Rollers , it starts at the regional level and the best from there move into the finals , those teams are put against the best in the world !!!! .
This fly is judged by "one" judge for the finals by a judge that spends 3 monthes on the road , judgeing the best kits in the world.
I have flown this fly solid for the past 8 years and I am amazed how smooth and profesional this fly is pulled off thanks to the hard work and devotion of many around the world , thanks to the structure of the W/C and it being it's own enity apart from any club , politics do "not" play into the inner workings.
Flys such as this don't just happen on thier own.
This fly just continues to get bigger and better and just the sheer size of the growth is opening up new challanges as new countries come into the fold (theres talk of Gemany also wanting in some day).
What this fly and flys like the NBRC has done for the breed is phenominal and pushes the breed to a point where we know that the existance is assured
And the great thing is that "everyone" can participate in this "great" fly !!!!

Kevin, Scott, I hate to bring up a sore subject, but my RD, Wendell, still has not heard from anyone on the World Cup Committee.He spoke with Ron, who assured him that someone would contact him, but that has not happened. He still has not been acknowledged by the committee that he is the new RD, nor has he been put on the World Cup Committee list for the discussion of issues. What can we do to make this happen guys? It makes me wonder whether the other regions have been any more successful. YITS Cliff

Not a sore subject all all ,tell him to keep contacting Ron till it gets done(sqeaky wheel)the committee list has been completely dead for some time.

Thanks, Scott. I'll tell Wendell he'll just have to bug the crap out of Ron until he gets a response!!! I thought maybe Kevin could step in and help handle this. Anyway, hope you and your family have a great Christmas.

Cliff, just have him talk to Ron again. Not sure why Ron has not said anything to me about putting him on. Have him call him and email him. Thanks, Kevin P.S. I have sent Ron an email on this matter.

Hurrah!!!! Wendell e-mailed me that Ron has finally responded to Wendell's e-mails and put him on the World Cup Committee List for RDs! Thanks guys (Scott and Kevin) for your help in making this happen. It's just too bad that it didn't happen in May so he could have participated in the discussions and voting. Anywho......thanks, again. YITS Cliff
