A friend of mine picked up some "Old Boston Rollers" but would like to know more about them. Does anyone know anything about this family or breed?

Hi Alan

ARE YOU THINKING OF THE Boston Blue Tumbler ? Here's an article by Spurling on them ----

Scott,

They came from Rob (forgot his last name) "spintight" in TN. I don't know if they originally came from Joe Testa or not?

Buck,

No, they aren't the Boston Blues. Boston Blues are blue Tipplers and not rollers.

He said they are longer cast than the average Birmingham, develop late and roll deep, that's all he knows.

Allan I bet they came from Testa as that is what he referes to his birds as.

Are his birds a family of Birminghams or another breed of Roller?

I am the friend and, yes the birds came from Testa originally. Can anyone shed any light on the performance of "Old Bostons" Thanks Rich
