Hey everyone,

Welcome, Dave. This is certainly not a site for the faint- of-heart. From what I know of you, you certainly qualify to join the conversations on this list. I understand from Jay Yandle that you will be joining our region for the finals. Correct? Hope to meet you, but I'm trying to figure out how to re-arrange that work schedule. PS You'll see some damn good 11-bird kits, no matter what some of these guys say about it being the kiddie fly! LOL YITS Cliff

Darin,
I'm 46 years old and I have raised rollers since I was 5, except for an 8 year stretch in the 1990's. I started flying in competitions in 2000 and I have had some success. I have been the World Cup Regional Director and the NBRC Regional Director for my region for the last 4 years. I founded the Finger Lakes Roller Club here in upstate New York and also co-founded the Northeast Invitational Roller Classic, which is an invitation only fly for the top flyers in the entire Northeast. I'm also currently running for Vice-President of the NBRC.

Thanks Dave, very nice to make your aquaintance. You most likely know Ivan Hanchett then who is running for President of the NBRC. I am really just starting with rollers and was able to get some birds from Ivan. I'm basically here to learn all I can and kick some of these guys butts someday in the World Cup, LOL!!! No, seriously, I'm planning to compete as soon as I can put up a kit but man do I have a ton to learn. Thanks for the response!

Ivan is a close friend of mine and I can tell you that he flies some fast spinners. I have one of his cocks in my breeding loft and he is throwing me some fast birds. Good luck to you, it sounds like you are on the right track.

I won a kit of Ivan's birds in the NBRC raffle which have been settled and are being flown out as we speak. We're looking forward to seeing what the left coast birds have to offer! LOL. I sure liked those scores Ivan posted!! YITS Cliff
