Hi, Jay. In England, we don't have an equivalent of Thanksgiving; you might as well say 'Happy November'. Anyhow, your sentiments are much appreciated. Also, I thought I'd report back to you. Remember my locked down hen which got out and was all over the place? I took your advice and gave her time. It's taken a month, but she's finally flying with the rest of the pack. Actually, she's started to roll and I think it spooks her a bit, so she wants to kit with the others when it happens! Anyhow, she's settling down and kitting well, so it was good advice you gave me.

Hey, I might even try this patience thing with another locked down bird!

Cheers, Jay.

Hey Guys,
I too! want to wish everyone a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving. I pulled out of Gulf Port Mississippi this morning early to be home with the family tomorrow. I feel sorry for a few of the residents of gulf port. There is still a bunch of families still living in their cars and tents. Some have places to go but there is still a bunch that have nothing and no one. Lets remember them and hope everything will be restored soon for all of them.
Thanks Brian Middaugh

I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

I attended a funeral yesterday for a friend of mine who was a CHP officer. He was killed in the line of duty last week. Shot by a 20 year old kid. The funeral was a very touching ceromony. Gun salute, 3 CHP helicopters flew over head while one helicoper pulled away in another direction in honor of him, Full Class A dress Unifroms. 3000 officers, friends, family, firefighters and Harley Riders attended. He was stationed in our County and spent a lot of time with the Fire departments keeping our apparatus road worthy. He was a commercial officer. We sent 12 Fire Apparatus to the procession. He was a hero and a great man. Loved his Harley!

Anyway...I know that Thanksgiving is a day to be thankful. I would like to ask everyone to think of my friend CHP Officer Andy Stevens and be thankful that there are officers like him that are protecting us. Those of you who are religious ...please say a prayer for his wife and family. I am enclosing an article from the Sacramento be if anybody is interested in reading it:

rock and ROLL

Paul Fullerton

I released my A team this morning in his honor and they rolled the best that they have ever rolled. The sky was blue and it was such a beautiful sight.

Shaun,
Glad to hear that your hen is getting the swing of things and they usually do. Patience is the name of the game in this hobby. Try the others and they will come along nicely. Your birds are from good blood, rolling and kitting were bred for in those birds, so you should not have problem with them too much even thou you have not flown them when they were young. I have a well established family of Jacs and it takes them about two to three weeks to start kitting tight, on a once a day flying.

Paul, I am really sorry about the loss of your friend. It is really sad to hear of the way he lost his life. My prayers to his family...

Jay
