hi guys,
I have a question, since I lack the experience--I would like to know why my rollers have shorten up the roll, I mean they don't roll that deep anymore, now that they have multed into an adult. they were at 4-6 months doing 40-60ft, now only 20-30ft. is this a family trait or common to you all also?

My birds, both young and old do that after the molt. It is like for about a month or more, when they are just coming through the molt, they are really fun to watch, rolling in bunches and deep. Then it's like one day suddenly they stop rolling so much, stop rolling so deep and even stop rolling so fast.
But their performance will come back in a few weeks. Just take some of that feed away and over the course of a few cold nights, it will all catch back up to them and they will roll more once again.
Brian.
