If you were asked to recommend two book titles for a new flyer, what would you come up with. These titles would deal specifically with rollers, although if you have strong feelings about a book dealing with general care and breeding or loft maintenance I would be interested as well. Thanks for your help

I am real close to finishing "Winners with Spinners" and it's been excellent. I consume everything I can get my hands on. Have you joined the NBRC yet? Their bulletins are also excellent sources of information and they send out 10 editions a year I believe. I got my first one a few weeks ago and read through the whole thing in about 2 days. Good Luck!

"The Brimingham Roller Pigeon" By William H. Pensom

"The Pigeon" By Wendell Levi
The Flying Vet's Pigeon Health Management" By Dr. Colin Walker

These (3) books are good for the Novice.

All of the books on Rollers has some good info in them. It will be up to you to find out what is good or bad by reading them and comparing your experience’s with the birds to the books out there.

Paul, I believe books are good to get basic concept at least for novice. They can always post and learn but to get thing moving and get basic on pigeon hobby I think books are good.

No doubt, books are always educational materials that you should always have around for reference. The forum is always good to post your questions and receive many responses from many individuals and be able to hear how others do things and take care of things. There are allot of things that you can not get from a book or at least don’t know where to find such books. I always relay on the good old fashioned way ‘research and analysis’.
