I had some fire ball rollers from graham in the 60s and 70s very hard to control. Not enought feed and they would fly low and makeing dents in the ground, Feed them to much and they would fly up till they were little dots in the sky and fly for hours. I found for me was to feed them about 3 hours before i was going to fly them.If you get a good bunch there the birds that can make a great water fall.I had my birds were i could pop them out of the kit box they would go way up fly for an hour and when they ready to come down they rolled down. I dont mean that they rolled just one time it was 100 200 ft fly 5 or 10 sec and roll another 100 ft. They go from little dots to 100 ft off the groung in 2 min, They suck when it comes to kitting. Good luck with yours.

I don't have Fireballs and never did in the past. But my common sense tells me that they did not make a name for themselves because of their suicidal habits. Remember, it all what we breed for. If you breed for too deep, then you are asking your birds for punishment. You still can breed Fireballs for 30-40’ rolling if you wish.

just got some fireballs for over 3 months now. will fly some youngsters once I have enough to spare. Just a backyard flyer so I will examine what i have. I respect everyone's own thoughts and opinions but i won't let other people's theory or past/current experience ruin my love for these acrobatic breeds. I also have birmies and I will fly them seperate, then together, and keep a close eye on my own experience. Thanks again to Tony.

thanks.

I have two lines of Fireballs and had never had a rolldown. I have Johnsons and Pattersons. The Pattersons do not kit well. The Johnsons kit pretty good. I have started to train them with Galati's that kit like glue and will not allow an out bird if it has any kit instinct at all. This has helped considerably. Some of the deeper birds do have to chase the kit but that is okay as long as the head back because the kit will come back to them.

I have been flying Grahams line for 3 yrs now and I have good luck, just like birms you just have to manage them a little differently, but the end result is AWESOME.
