This is my favorite breeder hen. She is just three years old. Last season she gave me six of eight keepers.
She is a great mom. Nice tame bird when I reach in her nest. She was a consistent 30 sec 30 footer with a nice smooth exit. I am flying four of her chicks now. The other day, the 4 nestys all broke at the same time, hit 30 and came out simultaneously side by side . Was the sweetest thing I have seen to date. The twins as I call them are connected at the wingtip in the air. Usually break together, one is a bit deeper than the other by 5 feet or so. Love this bird She will continue to be one of my "good birds" yits Kenny H

Rust I really like that Blue Bar white flyte and Black badge. The first one I don't care for at all and looks like it would breed problem birds. Those other two are real nice , they have that S type neck that I like and look to have good charactor which the first one looks to be lacking and when you made mention of "hot" it confirmed it.

Here is the father to one of my foundation Cock lines... bred and flown by Tom Stone of PA. Owned by a fellow I know. A super producer of ultimate velocity! I took this photo of him during this year's World Cup Fly. Band number 1986 AU 630. Yes, he is 20 and still filling eggs. His father was a Foundation Cock bird for Stan Plona - 1973 PRC 17011 - known to be alittle dangerous but none better.

Here is a Foundation Cock bird for what I call my Blue Side. He is a super cleared pearl eyed cock bird that produces true to this line - Velocity. There is no other better breeder for velocity then this bird here. Well, his dad is a tad better and his grand pa is alot better but besides that, hands down - none better. Band number 2000 MFRG 2675 is key to my future breeding program.

I am only working off of two cock birds. This is the other, he is a outstanding producer. A over all good producer of every quality you want in the Birmingham Roller. He is the base for my Grizzle side. Band number 1995 IPB 15756. Produced two last year that were just base balls (no wings visiable).

I don't know much about the history behind these birds besides what I have been told. I was told Tom Stone thought highly of '86 - 630 and his father. As records show, Tom Stone line bred and inbred the heck out of that Stan Plona bred bird. I never knew either gentlemen (Tom Stone or Stan Plona) but know that 630 originated from the Blue Side of Plona's family. If I recall right, 630's father is Stan Plona's famous Old Peg Legg that or he was a grand son. That's all history and means little to me. All I know is that that line is filled with velocity and still breds true (2 and 3 generations later). I know Ivan H. from Oregon would be the right person to ask about that line. On the same note, I tried scoring a grand son off 630 that I had my eyes on for a while. Found out while visiting the owner this year, during the World Cup, that it is currenly in Oregon residing in Ivan's loft. Hope to score it for a year or two when Ivan is done with him to add alittle more favor into that line. Funny how good birds finds their way around. Thor
P.S. Tom Stone and David Kowalski only has a band number or two in the back ground of my birds. I don't know either gentlemen but I suspect they would know more about these Plona birds then I will ever do as they scored many of Stan's best.
This is the Cock bird I was hoping to score this year... too bad he is a thousand or so miles away. Blue Bar Badge Cock band number 1995 IPB 20369 bred and flown by Tom Stone of PA.
