upcd, They are now both down on the eggs but they leave them for long periods of time.Often they sit side by side on the bowl.They are positively cock and hen.I think they need to go back to kit box? thanks cm

Curtis,
If at all possible, it would be better if you could mate a young bird with an old bird. While procreation is a natural process of life, sometimes the young ones mature at different ages. If they are mated with an old bird, they quickly learn from the partner even at relatively young ages. Sometimes it takes the "young to young" matings a round or two to get it going. I've seen young cock birds mount the hen backwards, or the young hen either refuse to submit or stand up quickly before the cock bird has had a chance to get started. These are just some of the problems when you mate very young to young.
