Hi all,

I just joined the forum today. Actualy I am ready to get back into flying rollers again & I need to find some young birds to get a flying kit started. Breaders can come later? I live in southern Oregon, Grants Pass OR. to be exact.
I need some birds, I also need good info on kits, lofts & any other info I can get on how to get the best results out of breading & flying roller pigeons.
Growing up in Compton in the 60s every body had rollers, so I have been roller crazy all my life but this is the last time.
So, if anybody can give me some directions to some good breaders & info on coops & kit box's I can realy use the help...

Thank you

Darrell

Lots and lots of great roller flyers in the pacific northwest. The NBRC convention will be taking place up that way this year. I would say that by and large, you probably won't find many better birds or families than you have in your general area. I'd say start with a guy like Ivan Hanchett and work from there. Ivan is sort of a roller hub of knowledge for that area.

hey derrel,

go visit whoever near in your area, everyone has different family of birds. ask them to fly couple kits for u. then decide what u likes.

Go to NBRConline.com, then click on Membership Directory. Under "Oregon" you'll find his name among various others who can help you get started as well.

Darrell,
Go to the World Cup Website http://www.worldcupfly.com/ to find you Local Area Director (Pete Kaufman) or your Regional Director (Ivan Hanchett). We will be having our regional fly early next month. This will be an opportunity to look at many different setups for lofts and kitboxes. You will also get to look at the best kits in the area.
4/8 Portland Metro Area
4/9 Canby to Corvallis, Eugene
4/10 Medford, Grants Pass, Eagle Point

Pete or Ivan will be able to give you a place and time to meet up and watch the kits.
Best of luck
Keith
