Darin,
I have had racing homers since I was in high school. I raced with my father until he passed away in 1996. Have kids of my own now and thought the rollers would be great for the family. We recently built a new home on 7 acres and had a 12x24 loft built at the same time. Just built the kit boxes two weeks ago. The birds are of the deboer family by way of a friend in Buhl. However, my wife is a school teacher and next week is spring break, we are going to utah to see Guil Rand for what I hope are to be my breeders. I have so much to learn! Glad to know there is another flyer so close. Dan

Sounds like a great loft and I recognize your family of birds. My family of birds come from Ivan Hanchett in Oregon and I'm just about ready to wean my first round from the birds I got from Ivan. I raised homers also during high school but got out of pigeons at age 19. I just got back into them myself last fall, partially for the same reason you did, I thought my boys, (5 of them), would enjoy the birds. I also plan to fly competitively. I won't make the World Cup but I expect to have a kit ready for the Fall Fly. As far as I know, I'm the only fancier in Pocatello so I get excited to find others who are close. Good luck in Utah, hopefully you can get some great birds! I don't know much and like you, I'm learning a ton but if I can be of any help to you, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Dan,
I tried to call you twice yesterday and both times it would ring a couple of times and then hang up on me. I'll try it again today but if I don't reach you, that's what's happening.
