Well--today I set my huge bunch of birds(6) on the kitbox roof-after trap training.when I set the first five out --no problem-the sixth--he scared up four and away they went-WAY up-all over the place higher and higher. So i am thinking I now have one bird in kitbox or at least on top the kitbox.some landed in trees some I dont know where they went.then I had to go to an appointment that I couldnt get out of.Neadless to say I was less than attentive at the appointment.I raced home to find five birds in the box.the one missing I rote off after a couple of hours.Three hours after that I saw a flash of white past the window---And here he comes-blu ck w/f--he finally lands on the kitbox but wont go in-so I put alittle seed on the landing board to coax him in(and heres the funny part) The birds inside here the seed hit the landing board and one muscles his way threw the bobs eats all the seed and proceeds to trap right back in.all the wile the blu ck is watching!lol! but he finally got the idea and trapped in so I still have the grand total of six flying birds.we shall see how long it lasts. Mike, The first is the hardest one. On both you and the birds. I lost one on the maiden flight. It is gonna happen. The wind got up after I let em out. Two went away and one came back. Two weeks later,I have one squeak giving me tens and the rest are spinning little spins. yits v99

Mike, I've just lost one like Kenny. Two youngsters went up for a fly, the wind picked up, one struggled to get back down and the other didn't come back. At that age, they don't seem to have the necessary strength and get blown off course. I'm going to much more wary of the wind with the youngsters. Fortunately, I've had no such problems with my older birds.
