I for one believe "we" should not hand toss are birds from the kit box, or what ever you fly them from. I would like the powers that be have a ruling that states no hand tossing rollers into the air, let the 20 or 11 birds do it on there own free will, with no assistance. The Racing homer guy's don"t hand toss there birds from there crates? do they! this will make W/C and the Fall fly more PRESTIGIOUS AND GIVE CREDITABILITY TO ARE SPORT/HOBBY.

Homers dont bump either. That is why we have a five minute time in rule.
If I wanna toss every bird in my box,I will. It is in the rules. Just like the ghost kits.
I would like for you to explain your position on the statement you just made

Rust, I agree with your statement to a point. I also will not fly birds that have to be hand tossed, to me they are a problem. And if I had to hand toss them all the time they would be culled. Not a stable birds at all. But if you have to hand toss them all it would not affect the scoring at all so that would be a rule that would not get passed. kevin

velo99 and knaylor! To me i perfeer to see flyers just open the kit door and release best of the best rollers no excuses. 5 min rule is the right rule. I'v flown in world cups and fall fly's and i never hand toss any of my birds' if they bump on the way out, there butts better get off the grass and better join the rest because i made them, bred them to show me that my birds can get off the dirt with no help and hopefully put on a good show.I also have 2 birds in small cages so i can use the 5 min rule, just in case one bump to hard. LOOK'S ARE EVERY THING when i have flyer's "guest" that are in my back yard! Thank You for asking.

Rust, with the W/C coming up read up on the rules. I do believe that those two birds in the small cages are fine for the Fall Fly but they will do you no good in the W/C. Kevin

Doesn't bother me even though unstable birds get on my nerves, I don't do it myself unless trying to get a particular bird over a hump but that is rare and short lived.
Those type of birds tend to screw you anyway by hurting themselfs or iffy kitting.

the rule as i understand it 5 min then call in.fly or die
i canrollthem on the ground, kiss each bird,or kike them in ass,i do not care what h does.i come to win, idont fly mental defishent birds, that said,on the other side of the fence,i started building from 30 birds got paired doon.
to 13, have 3 birds i could fly, but they need to be thrown,
i payed my money, all that is important is you gain i gain, win win the fly starts when on the clock, not before,
enough bad rules no need for more.

Kenny H, I think he is just saying what he prefers to see. I too also like to see them just let out. When I see a flyer hand toss a few (and I see this alot) it tells me that they are unstable birds. In my opinion I would never breed from such a bird. Can you imagine if you had to hand toss everybirds in the kit. I have seen guys start handing out birds to guys in there back yard for them to toos for them. To me they need to start culling harder. If you have to hand toss a bird once it is older and in your A team. That is a fault and should be culled. Kevin

Naylor.
I have a couple that for some reason occasionally bump. Most of my birds are 8-11 months. The kit is still changing from time to time. Then there is the occasional accident or off day of feed. Various reasons one would have to toss a bird. Sometimes I just like to toss one. I handle my birds sometimes before they fly.
What I took offense to was the prestige line. Was a bit arrogant.

Kenny H, I understand. My advise is that if you have to hand toss on a regular basis look hard on how bad you need the bird. But the bottom line is they are your birds and you can fly them how ever you want. Kevin

Naylor,
The bird in question is a deep roller. Hits 50-70 feet when he gets going. He sometimes get the other guys going. I don`t really have a trigger bird, rather several that lead from time to time. When he bumps it is usually indicitive of the need for feed.Keep him in a day and sock him some seed, put him back out.His nestmate is also a cockbird who`s almost as deep but with a bit more control.

I have a pair of sisters that are awesome birds. I would like to consider breeding with them for an f2 breeding. Still at eight months I gotta cut him some slack for a while longer.

This bird has been rolling deep since the first of the year or so. Starting non kitting and got really frequent. Which usually means one of my Y/B`s is gonna grow up. Then bammo!! Started hitting 30-40 then just going bonkers 30-70 landing early and working himself to death.

He finally calmed down after I held him in for a few and fed him up on pellets. Since then he will bump occasionally. I think his is still trying to find the bottom. He has his moments of greatness then his moments of not so greatness. He IS for sure entertaining.

Kenny, I know what you mean. I've a couple which bump here, there and everywhere. They work too hard and land early. So, Ideally, I should kill them or hope they'll kill themselves. But, sod that; they're just such great fun to watch - rolls that seem to go on forever, with such velocity.

Right now, in my roller infancy, I say, long live the maniacs.

Shaun
