One of my pairs has one egg that has a little section of it just larger than a pencil eraser kind of smashed in. I have candled the egg and it is fertile. It hasn't been ruptured as near as I can tell - nothing is leaking out anyway. Has anyone ever seen an egg like this hatch?

Hey Brian, I have taken a piece of eggs shell with the membrain on it and placed it over the crack or dent and has worked well. I say the nail polish will work but didn't know if the fumes would harm the chick. Best of luck Brian Middaugh

Darin,
I have had them hatch like that. This is an easy one...if it hatches then it is good...if it does not...then it is bad..LOL!! Just kidding...I was not being a smart ass..it kind of reminds me what I say to the new firefighters....Before we go into a room(that is on fire)...they always ask....how do you know if ther is fire in the room...I say..well...when you open the door and you see flames and it is freakn hot...that means there is fire..LOL!!

I have often taken a candle and let a drop of wax fall on the damaged area and smooth it with my finger while it is still warm. Has worked well for me but maybe it would have hatched with nothing being done. It is easy for me to fool myself.
