i have a pair that is very deep at rolling, but should i be breeding both deep rollers or put a low rolling and a deeper rolling together, that way they balance? i never treid it but is it a good way to do it that way. first time breeding.

The best thing to do is to put them together and see what you get....I have put a shallow roller with a deep roller and got deep rollers...I have put two shallow roller together and have gotten deep rollers...I have put two deep rollers together and got deep rollers. It is all about testing and taking notes and see what the pairs produce. Put the cock and different hens...if all the offspring are deep..from differnt depth hens..then odds are...the cock produces deep rollers. You just have to try and see. Your odds are a little higher to get deeper rollers if you put deep to deep....or what I have found...deep to super fast....you never know unless you try..remember it is not rocket science.

Hey Washington 86,Do you like deep rollers or short rollers?Fast rollers,or birds that roll with style? If the deep rollers don't crash, you have some "Aware" birds witch is good.I would breed what you like to see in the air.Your birds will let you know what there capabilities are,and work with that.Enhance there abilities through breeding your favorites. As far as cultivating your birds.Pick a long term goal, and try to keep improveing your birds. You should see progress within three years.Happy hawk free flying!-Scotty
