Jim,
Good to hear from you. My son is 23 years old now and played college baseball. We had a good visit way back then and you are always welcome here (Central Point, Oregon) anytime. Is your phone number still, 1-613-398-6900? Do you still live at 54 Trent St. N., Franford, Ont, Canada? KOK zCO? Correct the spelling if needed? LOL I enjoy your comments and hope you are doing good.

Kevin,
First of all I will never increminate myself doing anything or done someting in the past that is considered illegal in the first place especially online. Then remember that allot of young minds read these posts and to include such reference to peace pipes is not wise. Although, and I understand how Jim started off has ticked off allot of people, but we are a bunch of good men and women who look past that and move on. If Dan associates himself with people like Jim, then Jim is a good man. I would do the same thing and say the same thing if a person in Jim's spot was your friend. People don't have to see our point view to be part of this forum, but they have be considerate and respectful to others. And we can be considarate and respectful to Jim and any other who realizes what was done wrong and correct it. Cliff is a good man with lots of new ideas, you and some others might not agree with him, but that does not make Cliff a screwball. We need allot more people in this hobby like Cliff, Scott and Kenny B, Brain M and others that will carry this hobby forward to the next level. We need to see past the horizen sometimes and put our differences a side. That is my take, what is yours...

Jay, I understand what you are saying. But where I draw the line is when someone like Cliff allways takes it to a personal level. You can dissagree without taking it there. To me that is over the line. If that is ok with you then so be it. Myself I have more class than that. Kevin

OK-Jstar--and Tony its your site-I am just a new guy and not mr. O --But--I would like you to look at it from my point of view--I am (as a new guy that knows nothing)looking for some coherent information on this hobby-I dislike having to wade through what I consider babble-To get at (meat)-Would this be tolerated in any other sphere--Job site,Pulpit,Business, etc.?If my few jabs appear unkind--well you and Jim have my sincere apology-I still ask you to think of it from a new persons perspective--If I have to read 100 posts with maybe 1%that is semi understandable but mostly incomprehensible--why bother?I have know malice towards Jim-He's most likely a great guy in person. But I see my time as a precious commodity-and I dont want it wasted on drivel.BTW-I am the worlds worst speller-even to write a simple letter I need spellcheck and I see it as issue of basic respect for whomever I am writing to to try and be legible(I used my pocket dic. about 4-5 times just for this post)--used it for every college course I took-WHY?--because the person on the other end deserves it-and I want to be understood. It was all interesting at first now It's just a bother-I guess I will just skip over certian posts,But isn't that defeating the whole purpose of this site? Look--Iam not asking you to punish Jim-That wouldnt be very nice of me--but--unless I am mistaken here--Jim has written a few posts that seemed different(YOU COULD READ THEM)-and at other times its unintelligible nonsense--but now somebody thats is somebody in the roller world appears to know him and now we must wade through hieroglyphics?--Oh well its Tony's site and your the moderator--I will respect it! Amen Fr. Mike I am with you 100%. The thing that annoys me the most is there are more and more JIM threads than any other. If you think I am kidding look at the last few threads started. We are getting further and further away from the discussion of pigeons and more on to this guy. I have an idea; Tony started a spin off site for the Fire Ball Rollers. Maybe if it isn't too much trouble you could start a Jim site LOL. Then the people who want to discuss Jim could go there and we could get back to what this site used to be about, PIGEONS. Nexyt we will be sitting around discussing our feelings LOL.His JIM JARGON is only when he feels like it. Most of the time when he wants he seems very intelligent. C.J.

FrMike, my reference was to the glue part in your post. Those are things are very unwise to even mention on this website due to the young minds that reads it. I totaly understand the dissatisfaction with Jim's behavior and I mentioned to him in another thread about this behavior disrubting the mechanics of this forum. Tony also mentioned on another threat that it is childish behavior. Remember that we don't have to like one another but we need to get along with one another on this forum. I am sure that is not hard to do. What I don't want, and I beleive that Tony is on my side, that this will become Jim bashing in the long run and this behavior will not be talorated. It is kind of fun and humorious to make a few joks because of it's worthy for a laugh but let's just leave it at that. As I read more and more of people posts from way back, yes we start for needing more information but it is mostly entertainment that we are after. I want you and everybody to know that I am not defending Jim, rather I am defending the integrity of this forum and trying to inforce the posting policy rules. Thanks for your and everbody's sportsmenship.

I for one enjoy Jim's posts. But for heck sakes make them more literate. If I can't read or understand them then they are of no value. You make valid points but when you do you are as illiterate as a one year old. And other times you say exactly what you mean to say. So make up your mind and don't waste mine. If you have a point ? make it. If not? shut up. The bull^%$# makes for a great forum but us beginners would like real info not this sh7t. Get real Jim or get lost! Sorry all but I can't keep wasteing my time reading posts that go nowhere and have no valuable info. And most of Jim's posts are worthless. Love the site Tony but this guy is killing my interest. Don

Sorry Jim tried to contact you but you have no profile and no e-mail. Hmmm. Why is that? It all doesn't need to be spelled right but at least close enough people can figure it out without a degree in chicken scratch. So when you can post your profile and say who you are I'll talk with you.Until then you are a waste of any beginners time. Don

J-star- I believe you read my apology to you, jim, tony.hopefully you could see into my openess to this site about my own handicap about inability to spell .I reiterate(WOW-I actually spelled that one correct--I checked)that apology.I have two adopted sons and one natural to me that are nerologically impaired with various serious impairments.I have never allowed them to live thier lives with excuses and mediocrity.Thats why one is going for his masters at penstate--one is on the honor role in highschool+part time job--one has I.Q. of about 60 and starts a his first job next week.My daughter (who is the only child that you could consider normal--at 25-Is a boss over 30 people in three states.I dont say this to boast--but to make a point--If you tolerate--I cant--Iwont--Iam an old man therefor I cant type or spell.but I can complain B%h and moan-If you tolerate.it -(mediocrity) thats what you will get - (MEDIOCRITY)I dont care if its from a child agrown man an older gentleman--whoever!BTW--I dont type either--one finger one key at a time-my parents tolerated poor typing!-so it has taken me about ten minutes to type this! I will say no more -I consider it a privilege to be on this site.I take back the mention of "glue" and I will be more careful of my posts content.SOOO--how about those Birds?

Jim, once again you know so little. My job is to run the committee list and if the Gen coordinator can no longer do the job I would take over. We as the ex committe have no power but to make sure the rules are followed. Ron Duncan is the gen and he has no vote on any issues unless there is a tie. Just because you want to cry about how you think the rules are wrong I should change them for you. I have asked what legit complaint you have. no answer i have asked who is your Rd so I could talk to him. No answer. Ken Firl gave you some very good advise- USE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike, you're the same age as me (49) and it's clear we now live in a world of political correctness. Here we are, most of us a bunch of old farts, being told not to talk about what we did back in our youth, in case we corrupt a youngster who might just be reading our posts. Well, I'll tell you what, if any youngsters have been reading some of the crap posted by a certain elderly guy this last couple of weeks - and, for reasons unbeknown to many of us - tolerated endlessly by the establishment - those youngsters will certainly be needing something illegal very soon!
Mike, let's ignore them and get back to rollers. Tell me what's been happening with your youngsters, since one of them got bitten the other day! I've got nine on the go at the minute, with a few more on the way and things are starting to get interesting.

Mike, I've got to be so careful at the minute. In England, we've just escaped from the coldest winter in living memory - though you know at our age, that probably just means since last year. Anyway, it's warmer now, but sod's law means it's very windy. I think I mentioned I lost a squeaker a few days ago. I suppose I was a bit complacent; this little chap had been flying nicely for a couple of days - didn't land anywhere other than the loft top. Excellent. Then it and another went up for a nice fly together. Within minutes the wind picked up and one made it back down, whilst the other didn't. So, what I'm doing now is just letting nine of them peck about... flit up and down.. learn their surroundings. I don't want them going right up until the winds die down. The main thing was getting the really young ones - four weeks old - eating and drinking along with those which are a bit older.
I'm actually enjoying it at the minute - out in the garden in warmish sunshine with a glass of vodka and orange. If this keeps up, I'll be playing my guitar to a kit of squeakers.
Peace, man...

Jim, LOL LOL LOL LOL. What is the problem??? Dont know. Steve did stand tall and is a great guy. Not one rule has changed since he has ran things. The only thing you have said is that there needs to be a min on a region. How do we do that??? All regions are set when they become a new region and they are alll shapes and sizes. I guess you are saying that they will not let you fly because you are too far away, but you have no idea who your RD is??? All that makes pefect sence to me. You say that its not you who is complaining??? If not then who??? Kevin

Kevin, and guys, If I have said anything personal in my discussions of the issues, that has offended you or anyone, then I apologize for that. That is never my intent. Personal attacks only WEAKEN ones point of view in any debate. That is how it is so easy to recognize when someone is really unable to defend their position; they resort to personal attack and ridicule to try to make the other look bad because they cannot argue their own position effectively. But because I strongly disagree with your position on an issue, does not make it personal, in and of itself. I realize that in the heat of a debate, and especially if I am attacked personally, I will respond in like manner. There are several on this list who seem only to be able to make it personal in every debate of every issue. I believe that if you reviewed my part in these discussion that USUALLY is the case in my discussions. I try hard to stick to the issues, and keep the debate civil and respectful, but I am not perfect and sometimes the lines between personal agendas and roller issues are very obscure. Just wanted to make my intentions very clear. Thanks for your support Jay. YITS, Cliff

Cliff, apology excepted. I have no problem with dissagreeing with anyone and I do think it is healthy. I just do not agree with anyone taking it to a personal level. I think in the w/c situation once you become an RD you will see the whole side of everything and will understand where we are coming from. Kevin

Shaun, Go with your gut on those youngsters, your doing the right thing, easing up on them while the weather is rough.Sounds like your enjoying the birds and yourself, which is what roller flying is all about.Behind the scenes theres hard work/decisions to get to a consistant level.I think sometimes we want to get there quicker than the birds will let us,but alot of it is common sense and paying attention. Its been raining here in Hawaii for over a month and a half straight, and have put ALOHAZONAS ARK on the schedule in my cabinet shop, lol.I'll be flying my W/Ckit,for the region, this Saturday weather permitting, wish me LUCK.....Aloha,Todd
