Hi Guys,
I have 1 Roller chick being sat under the nest boxes one week old.I'm wondering if the parents and chick would stand for being moved upstairs into the box so the adults get the idea to brood the next round in the right spot. The nest box is a double. The trouble with nesting under the box is there is too much pine shavings under there and one egg got lost then kicked out.Should I wait another week or more to try moving the chick?
Cheers,
Kel.

I haven't had much luck with that. The parents tend to think the baby has gone missing and start over. One thing I have done is given thast one you ng to another pair with a single and then letting the pair under the shelf start again. If you dont want them to nest under there then close it up.

I agree with CJ. I never had any luck either.
