Hey Nick, glad to see you made your move. If you ever get up this way, be sure to stop in. Would be great to have you come over and talk birds and pass some time watching couple kits fly. As to measurements of my kit boxes:
The overall dimensions are: 65" high from ground to top, 99" wide and 39" deep. Each kit box is 36" high and 32" wide inside.
Each compartment has wire bottom to droppings can fall through to droppings area for easy cleaning. Each box has a trap I got from Foys.
The frame is treated wood and the walls and roof are metal siding. There is some air flow on all side where the siding is corrugated. So far they are working out very well.
I needed something with a low profile so the wind does not knock it over. I had a kit box given to me by a local guy but the wind blew it over twice. It stood too high and the braces I installed in the ground after the first topple and screwed into the legs where not strong enough to prevent it from being blown over a second time.
This one should be okay but I plan to anchor it down with cement blocks just in case as the winds out here can really blow.
