SJP, Yeah, isn't that great!!We have eagles all over the place up here. You can go up the rivers in the fall when the salmon are spawning and easily see 1 or 200.But never do you get a chance to see them up so close.I hear folks from all over the world are looking at this site.Maybe it will get more people in the world to realize how fragile we all are and we should try to look after the planet which has been entrusted to our care, never mind spending more on arms and war and big trucks.Cheers and keep on Rollin'!! ---------- Kellinos

Awesome Awesome site bro...where did you find it? Man i think this is just way to cool. Ive been watching off and on for hrs now. Last evening at 7:30 eastern time , i saw the other mate swoop in and they changed places on the nest. From what i could see , there are two eggs in the nest. Guaranteed i will be following this pr to watch their kids grow up. Thanks for sharing this with me , ive always loved hawks and eagles etc , even though the hawks eat my rollers, when you understand the food chain etc , you just make the adjustments to protect your birds. All i can say is thanks again for sharing, this is just wicked cool.

Hey Vibey!! Heard about the site on Canadian Broadcasting Corp.AM radio. Some folks in the states and up here call it the commie station cause I guess it is a little left wing.Apparently the nest is 120 feet up in the tree.Probably a big Douglas Fir.There is a nest near our house on Gabriola Island here, and that nest has to be 6 ft across.Freind of mine has all kinds of different birds including 100 free range chickens.2 eagles landed in the tree above his chicken house and started screaming at each other the other day and hung out there all day.Every one of his chickens went off the lay.Scared eggless!!!I had Pekin ducks once and one day an eagle swooped right down in front of me having morning coffee, and BOOM,knocked that duck flying dead instantly.Severe trauma in our familyLOL!!The webcam is on the west coast so eastern time is 3 hours before our time.Sunset around 10pm eastern.Watching them wake up at 9am eastern is cool!!You can see the wind blowing in their feathers and this morning is sunny with a N.W. wind. Will be exciting to see when the eggs hatch out.Hey Tony!!Excuse me for getting off the Roller topic, but this is just so captivating!!Comment????? Cheers buddy,& Peace. ---------- Kellinos

Kell, YOur are 100% correct, i agree with you whole heartly. Again, thanks for the site. My son hasn't return from school yet. I was so excited to tell his teacher and other classmates. They receive over 2 million viewers on this site. Isn't that great.
Vib, I too saw them mates swap on the nest. That was great. I also saw two eggs. I cant keep from checking on the birds 4-5 times a day. Cant wait for those eggs to hatch. Does anyone one know when they are expected to hatch? It will be awesome to watch them feed the babies. I guess they feed fish? There is a discussion Forum, similar to what were have here on that site. I want on and read some of the post, interesting like this one. Thanks Guys, SJP

Hey Vibey,That was cbc.ca/bc where I found the correct address for that site. SJP,That's!!Being excited about something is fun aye!?Did you notice the big peices of moss in the nest?I bet you could find out asking on that forum when the eggs are due to hatch. That is a must see.Gonna have to arrange to be home working in the garden when that is going on so can run in to check progress. They feed on herring alot but they passed by here last month spawning.Salmon aren't abundant enough in the ocean here anymore to see an eagle catch one of them very often,so they don't get them much till late summer. There is an Indian legend about the Bald Eagle that set his talons in such a big salmon and once he had ahold wouldn't or couldn't let go ,salmon dragged That eagle right under drownded. They scavenge alot, found dead deer in the bush before and dragged im out into a clearing to come back 2 days later to a stripped carcass eagles feeding their young. One time in our boat we saw an eagle swimming across the surface of the ocean towards an island and we went over to see what the heck this crazy bird was doing. He's dragging this pure old Great Blue Heron(skinny as hell no meat to speak of) who got loose as the eagle neared shore and flew off 'cause we were harrasin' it,this heron staggering around.Yeah,,,they'll eat anything.Oh well, back to nicer thoughts.lol Cheers ---------- Kellinos

Hey Santandercol; Ive been watching the eagles for at least a week now. I check the site every couple hrs and have seen them change places on the nest quite often, it's too cool huh ? The eggs are due to hatch between April 26th and April 30th. This i definately want to watch , especially them raising the eaglets. Exciting barely describes what this will be likeSo hatching day is roughly 16 days away . Enjoy man ...i know i will.
