Thanks Brian, I had 507.64. I flew 17 birds 26 turns. Raw score 259 points 1.4 Q x 1.4 D. Biggest was a 16 bird turn. I didn`t score any in the last five minutes due to an outbird and early lander. I left another 70 points in the clouds. So far I am in first place. I don`t expect to stay very long. Ron Duncan is going to the Dallas area and judging Alex and his crew. I must add that my wife was an instrumental part of this performance. For the last week she has been helping me with the birds and noting the fly times for me. She was a gracious hostess and seemingly put the judge at ease with her homespun charm. I must amend my statement to we instead of I or it just wouldn`t be accurate. Thanks Beck

Thanks a lot guys. It means a lot to have your support. All I have done was apply what I have learned from you guys. All of the stupid questions and arguments have paid off. Paul,Dave,Cliff,KGB,Tony,Jerry Higgins,J,Both Brians, and all you guys. Paul summed it up best when he said " It`s like your a Jedi or something now. Welcome to the brotherhood." yits Your humble apprentice v99

DY-NO-MITE!!! Let's hear it for the first time flyers!! Now you have gone and set the bar awfully high for the rest of us, buddy! I better start making excuses. I lost two birds out of my A-kit last week. One had an eye infection or something....the eye just went dark, so I treated it with antibiotics, but it kept shrinking and the eye ball just disapeared. So this little blue check self, a once-a-minute 20-30 footer now blind in one eye flys like a homer all over the sky. So I've got to pull her. Another 30-40 ft Andalusian bald cock kept bumping on landing at the new place...EVERY TIME! He was great once he got some altitude-good control-but he wanted to roll 30-40 ft from 20-30 ft. I found him dead in the kit box from his injuries. So I have to reach into the stock loft and put my little black hen back into service in the kit. I've got three weeks to prep! Anything you would do different, Kenny??? YITS, Cliff

Cliff, I flew 17 birds. I pulled probably my best rolling cock bird because he will out in a minute after he bumped three weeks ago. Good thing is he added ten feet to his roll. Hopefully he will be good for the finals if I make it. One of my better hens broke off three secondaries on each wing and landed early. My best bird was working so hard she could`nt stay on the same altitude as the kit and was out a lot. I could`ve had a better fly. I think subbing a bird at this point could be detrimental. If you put up 17 the only thing you won`t get is a full turn.

FYI: Weather forecast for the next two days of the Region 6 fly
Partly cloudy, breezy and warm Wednesday night. Low 66 degrees. Mostly cloudy and windy Thursday with t-storms - some possibly severe. Clearing and cooler Thursday night. Windy Friday and continuing to cool a bit. Pleasant weather for the weekend and Monday.
Could be just the break I need. v99

Paul I hear ya. You`ve gotta watch those andy`s, they`re troublemakers. Mine spit on my the other day when she was flying out of the kitbox. She might have to go to the chiropractor and get a neck adjustment. lmao v99

Congratulations Velo; Great job man . Be proud of your accomplishments, as i'm sure it takes alot of work to get to the top, and i hope you hold that position. Also Cuddo's to your wife for being there to help you out through this. They say behind every successful man is a good woman. My wife has also been a god send , as when i was really sick and could not get out through the cold winter mths , she fed and watered the rollers all winter season. I guess they pay attention to the things we love and step up to the podium when we need them most. Good job Mrs Velo. Vibey
