I'm in the same boat as Newflyer. I am in Ontario Canada, and although i have had my birds on lockdown sinse late november, and have not flown this yr yet due to birds on nests, and a couple new additions, it's my experience over the yrs that our hawks are also gone now until late fall. Don't know what to tell you accept maybe if you have a couple plugs (culls) that your not affraid to lose, you can always toss one of them out as a test to see if there are any predators in the area. It's also apperent that seeings how you are participating in this forum, you have internet access, and could go into Google search engine , and type in something like , migratory patterns of hawks in your area , and learn a little more about when and where they go, and at what times of the yr etc. Google is a great tool and has much info on everything and anything. Good luck hambone , and happy breeding.
