If a roller rolls down, but doesn't hit the ground is it consider a rolldown?

I have a rolldown that always hits the ground so i always take it out and make it fly to the roof of my house. After hitting the ground for about a week straight i see some inprovement in him. It takes him a long time to come down because everytime he takes off he flips and gets scared and fly back to the roof. After about five minutes he comes down rolling, but right before he hits the ground he flys off and lands near the kit box. Today he flew for a little bit more because i changed the location of where i toss him.

If he is getting better keep working with him. He will either make it or he won`t.

It's a cull.
