I have my first squeaker 4 1/2 weeks old ready for the kit box. He's the only one ready up till now.I'm getting a kit of 15 birds from Monty Neibles bloodline this weekend.Should I put little Henrito in the kitbox now and then all these new birds in there with him on Sunday or would it be better to keep him separate.I only have the one kitbox so far,and am busy building another 12 feet onto my breeding loft for more separations and want to start training this little guy as he is the first Roller youngster out of my loft.Just curious if he'll be ok together with all these new birds of various ages???

Put new birds in the kit box and check for diseases. 2-4 weeks. Then young one can go with them.

So you're saying it wont hurt the youngsters development if he stays in the main loft a couple more weeks?Should I fly him alone? It'll be 3 more weeks before I have any more squeaks ready, and should be able to build another kitbox by then(between gardening).Would it be better to just keep the young ones flying in their separate kit or put 'em all together? Thanks for your input.

He is too young to kit with mature birds. Try to build yourself a squeeker kit and then promote to your mature team as they prove themselves.

Hey Nick,
Thats kinda what I figured.Think I'll just leave Henrito in with the breeders till I get another kitbox built.I'm well under way to building a young bird kit as have 1 at 4 weeks and 2 at 1 week and 4 about to hatch.Aint it funny what an old geezer can get excited about!!!!

I am excited about these birds everyday and I am 62. It is good to be excited about something and you can't beat rollers.....they are neat little birds.

Guys,

Count me in on that one. I haven`t slept all night in two or three nights because of the finals and all of the squeaks I got coming up. Changes coming in the breeder box etc.
Like the little boy on the Disney commercial" I`m too excited to sleep!"
