Has anyone here ever tried(Dacoxine 4 in 1)? If so, could you please give me some thoughts, comments or opinion about this product? Also, what did you treat for and is it safe for use during the breeding season? I would really appreciate the help.

Would you mind telling why you treating breeders? I personally do not give any medicines. I think it is waster of money unless I know there are problems and I have to treat them.

Safire, most meds won't hurt your birds during breeding season. About the only one that can have any effect on their fertility is Baytril if given during the egg production or will sometimes weaken babies under two weeks of age. I use 4n1 in the open breeding pens. In fact I added some to the water in one loft just this morning because one cock bird didn't look right. I like 4n1 for when I don't know what has the bird going sideways. It contains a mixture which pretty much covers the major bacterial infections a bird will succomb to. I'll use it as a cleaner out before pairing up my birds. Otherwise only treat when necessary. Brian.

Hey Brian, I won't give sulfa meds like Sulmet to breeding pairs as I have ruined unlaid eggs with this treatment. What do you think? ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

I haven't noticed any ill effects from it Tony. That doesn't mean it can't or doesn't happen. I just can't recall it having an effect on the next round of eggs that are laid. Brian.

One of my bird has cankers and I am thinkin of purchasing the 4 in 1 from foys because it list that it can treat more than one illness. That's why I asked the question. Thankyou all for your posts.
