What are you going to call it? It is no longer a Birmingham Roller nor is it an Oriental Roller. Is it going to be a new kinda roller?

What are you trying to accomplish? What do you want from an Oriental that your not getting? What do you want from a Birmingham your not getting?

Why do you want to do this?

You need to be asking all of these questions to yourself.

A friend,

Nick

I raise some crossbreeds, I have Iranian Highflier/Ukrainian Skycutter crossbreeds. I bred them partly because I only had one Ukrainian Skycutter male and no female Ukrainian Skycutter to breed him with. So i bred him with several female Iranian Highfliers. I now have a female for him though, a Ukrainian Skycutter.

So, what do you have now after all of the cross breeding?

I think you are just collecting pigeons.

I wish you the best.

Well, The crossbreeds that i have dont look more than one breed or the other, Because i breed my crossbreeds to one another. Right now I have the F1 Generation. They are some very nice looking birds, They wingclap alot, and roll once in awhile, they also fly fairly high, Like the Iranian Highfliers when they want to I guess.

none, you may have to start a new forum page yourself. Alot of the guys here are only into Birmingham Rollers and will flame you everytime you mention a crossbreed. Good luck with whatever you are trying to create, just don't call them Birmingham Rollers. Someone had the vision to do the same thing you are doing to create the Birmingham Roller. If you ever produce a new breed that performs better than the Birmingham Roller, most of these same guys will never give you any credit but secretly start flying your new breed or crossbreed them into their Birmingham Rollers.

I have ferrals that I catch that mix with my parlors, they are good rollers, If you keep mixing them with ferrals, they will produce rolldowns

Hey guy,

Look, its kool that you have cross bread pigeons, but i believe that no one here have any cross breeds... if you understood the site, it starts off as "roller pigeon".....
i think that its best you get yourself some from the site and keep them that way, without crossbreading them.... and you'll wanna ask just "roller pigeon" questions!!!!!

HEY Russian Roller,
These birds can do something that no other breed can do. Turn over with inconceivable speed for considerable distances, falling like a spinning ball.

Yeah I wanna hear more about your cross breeds. NOT!
Buy some rollers and join in the fun.

yits
