GUYS I have recently "inherited" ten pair of quality breeders I would like to distribute to some of the newer deserving members of our fraternity. I have one shipping box and access to a couple of more. I challenge the rest of you to pledge shipping costs for these birds to be shipped to their new owners. Applications and suggestions will be accepted. Thanks Guys,

Kenny , what did you learn from that finals fly ? no need to be embarrased , you'll find bad competition days far out number the good ones in this sport
PS if they cant pay shipping they can't properly care for them either

Scott, Having twenty birds that actually work together consistently. I got lucky when I made the finals with 16 birds. The real problem was I couldn`t keep a team of 18 yearlings on the edge for three weeks and I was unable to get them mentally prepped for the finals. A year of maturity for both me and the birds will be a blessing.I did acomplish my goal of not DQ`ing in my first competetion.
My reason for flying in the WC was to get a judge to come to my house and examine my program and aid me in getting or staying on track.Consistency will come with time.I was disappointed yeah I got over it and now have a better outlook on what I have and need.

Kenny, I am sure you will do better next year. I'm also a rookie just like you. I also think that if they can't pay for the shipping then they probably can't take care of the birds properly. Maybe you can give them to someone close to you so you can check up on them every now and then.

Kenny,
I never thought about the NBRC auction...that would be a good place too...that way the box and shipping is paid for and the NBRC makes some money and someone gets some good breeders.

Got to make sure the recipiant is set up to care for these birds(like Scott eluded to). The NBRC auction is good, but if you know some individual deserving I will kick in.
What happened to none..........haven't seen him in here lately. I hope we didn't scare him off.

Hey Guys I think your intentions with none are great but until he cleans out his pen and gets the mental attitude that he can't keep everything it is just going to be a huge waste of quality birds. As it sit right now he is a pigeon collector. Another thing he needs is a mentor in his area. I would hate to see these birds wasted. C.J.

I also thought of the auction. I was also thinking back to when I started. The "good" birds on the auction ran right up out of my range. Hence the present program to distribute these birds.I won`t rule it out though. They are camped out in the back yard in cages. Need to move em pretty quickly.
I have some Kumros, Starley, I can`t think of the guy`s name uses the AERS band. I think a Borges and a Kiser or two. I might have a Forbush or two left as well. (addendum. Gary Stephens) I also have two pairs of Navarros I am fostering this season. Nice birds, really nice. Smart, got a an attitude and like to roll. I will donate a 10 bird kit next season in both auctions. I am not breeding for myself next season so I will be making a few donations here and there.Spread the wealth I have been blessed with. yits v99

Kenny, I would not even consider "None" as an option. I would also take a look at the NBRC message board and any other message boards that might have somebody wanting some birds. I will tell you this, I judged Jay Starleys birds for the WC this year and although they didnt do it on fly day I stayed at his house so he was able to put them out for me a couple days later and they were definately top shelf. Also just a little more info on Jays birds. The top 2 kits in Utah were also birds from Jay Starleys family of birds. They originate from John Destout in SCal. Joe
PS. The Rod Forbush birds are also From Jay Starley

v99, you are one of a kind man. You know some top guys, at least thats what they think they are, won't give a hoot about what you are just plannig to do...give birds away to help others. Man some are so stingy they won't even let their family of birds out unless it's their local club members. Some won't even sell their birds, even if it's worth (Edited By Moderator). How is the hobby growing when newbies can't even get (Edited By Moderator) birds. No one has birds that are too good for themsellves man. Greedy folks that's all man. Ya should be shameful of ya selves!! I'm like you too. just wing switching, hardball

Hi guys, my name is Shia. I've been on here reading the board for a couple of weeks now. I have found lots of useful info.
Velo99, I read through this post today and was hoping that you might consider donating a pair to me if you think I'm worthy of recieving such an generous offer.
My computer is broken right now and I'm using a friends. Feel free to e-mail me at xiong101@hotmail.com and ask me anything you'd like. I would like to tell you more about my backround and my enjoyment of rollers. I will respond back to you as soon as I can.
Thanks

Velo its to bad you couldn't get those birds into Canada. Vibey is a really deserving guy and is going through some pretty serious things right now. The birds might keep his spirits up. C.J.

i'm looking for a true pair that can produce fast and good spinners. i have had breeders in the past that were a waste cause they did not do well on performing. n how was the world cup competition. so far i notice that Jerry Higgin is in finals. i have a few pairs from Johnning Smith, Dwight, and Jerry, they are doing fine, but the production is a failure. i want to have very fast spinning pairs. if you would like to donate a pair to me, felel free to email me at chachad04@yahoo.com

Mr. Washington,
Maybe Richard can get you a really fast spinner(LOL).
If you mean Jerry being a Jerry Higgins, you already have some good spinners that are user friendly.

hey Nick, The Jerry i mention is not Jerry Higgin, he's a freind, i don't think he is in club, he keeps the sports going by himself. And who is this Richard guy? I sure do want a fast spinning roller because i had never had one before. i had never seen one roll before either.

Mr. Washington,
That would be Richard Luna. He is in this site. I think he lives in your area. I suggested him as kind of a jab at him, but I feel we have worked things out. Call him up on this site and he may be able to guide you toward some good birds. The birds you got from Jimmy Smith sould be good birds.
One thing you got to make sure of is that you have given your birds enough time to get it straight. Fly them often; sometimes everyday for a while; feed them properly; find your best hen and best cock and pair them up. You are not going to have instant success. You have to work at managing your loft everyday. It is hard work, but it will pay off for you.
There are times that you need to scap your plans and start all over when they get so messy that everything is a confussed mess. Just make sure that before you do that you have checked your birds over and evaluated them properly. Then if your going to scap your current plan and birds that you responsibly cull them. If you believe you have junk then don't pass it on(not even to your friends)
Nick
