If i cannot fit a bath into the breeding coop, can i fine spray the eggs once a week to soften them uo to hatch out, with luke warm water. Thanks in advance Vibey

they should be able to hatch out on thier own, if they don't they aren't mean't to be , moister and warmth = bactia.

Spray the underside of the hen with water. That tends to work pretty good, especially in very arid climates. Brian.

Are you giving them any calcium, the egg shell might be to hard for the young to break trough.I had this happen before.Are you keeping track of when they are suppose to hatch maybe that way you might be able to help the squab braek the shell. and give him a better chance

Vibey, Hatching is the very first test for a young chick. If it can break out,get under his mom and eat a bit of seed right off the bat he will survive. If not he is a cull. Sorry bout that but it`s true.
Also which is easier to BREAK? Eggshell or a piece of paper. Can`t break paper. An egg tooth is genetically designed to BREAK a shell not tear a sheet.Thats why the egg needs to remain hard. If it is flexible the chick doesn`t have a hard surface to push against when it breaks the shell in two.

Hi there Vibey!! Excuse me for saying,but for the health and happiness of your birds,is it possible for you to build an aviary( flypen) a little larger?They are like us I beleive,and need a bath once in a while. Salud a las Palomas. Kelly.
