Over the last month i lost 10 young bird.All around 1 month of age. The parents kicked them out the nest to lay there next round,so they are in the floor.The cock bird bearly feeds them, the birds are just starting to eat but with the heat been in the 90 the just last a day or so.WHAT TO DO

If the parents aren't feeding them enough,maybe try pumping them full of chick grower ground fine in the coffee grinder and mixed with water.Suck that into feeding syringe and feed 'em up. Good luck, ---------- Kelly

Each pair of roller should have two nest boxes if you are breeding from an open loft. When breeding individualy in a compartment style, then two nest bowls should be present. That will solve that problem.
When the birds are kicked out of the nest, show them where the water is by dipping their peak in it and put food on a tray for them. You need to use smaller seeds than wheat and milo so that they can pick it up and eat it. After several tries they will get the hang of it.

Jerries, go back a few pages and read the thread on weaning. There are a couple of different methods outlined there. By four weeks they should be ready for the weaning pen.
