Just had a really good weekend of watching the northern California section af the Calif. State Fly. Congrats so far to David Vang for top score with 300plus points(not sure of exact score). His kit really looked good. Tim Decker was judge and did a fine job. Also thanks to Ken Firl for running the northern half. Good job Ken. J.V. did a great job as score keeper too. visited with some great guys of the Thunderbird Roller Club as well. Kevin

AWESOME JOB DAVID!!!!! Looks like you got the birds dialed in. What are you flying in the kit. What family or families. I know that you got my droopy winged hens family from Scott C. I know you had some of Morts birds...Where the two Andalusians you got from me in the kit. I would love to know what you are flying! Again...AWESOME JOB!

Dave,
Good job bro. How`re the Navarros?. I had one roll down twice now. I think he is terminal. Messed up an eye socket but didn`t get the eye.I had one lose an eye earlier this season. Pretty much roont as a kitbird. I know her parents are good and she turns a pretty speedy 5 footer.

I know she just pulls out because she can`t see. She might get a breeder spot in a year or three. Probably go to a deserving newbie as a breeder.

How old are your Nav`s. I am looking for a foundation line.I like the simple fact the genes are pretty tight.I like the body and attitude. Mine are looking pretty good and rolling along with a couple of Pauls chickens. They are breaking pretty nicely. Most of the birds are simply too young to roll well. Could be interesting, as this is my daughters kit. I just might get my butt kicked.

Dave,

Congrats on recieving top scores. I'm really impressed. I've never known of any Hmong person to fly and score so high in competion.
I'm also sorry to hear that some of your birds got stolen a while ago.
Good luck on your future flys and I hope you continue to do well.

By the way, I happen to come across your profile on ganoi.com. I see you're into thai roosters. I've got one too. I keep him for his looks, but he's not bad in the ring either. I gotta say your birds do look like they're game.

I don't know about the state fly but when I judged him for the W/C cup region he threatened to have me taken down by one of those goofy Turkey necked Roosters if I got the least bit out of line.

I would really like to go, but my sister went up to Reno with her husband this weekend and I've got three of her boys. I'm Uncle Shia this weekend.

Hope all you guys have a good time there.
