Hi my name is andreas and i just today joined on roller-pigeon.
I have a slight problem with two of my birds.
Two black rollers i have them loose 24/h/W. They fly with the rest of my homers because i dont want to let out any other rollers because of the coopers. They will fly with or without the homers and do like half a backflip!?!
They glide when they are up in the air , tilt their heads back and do excactly what i said half a flip. The do the beginning without completeting the actual roll. THese rollers are not bad infact they have champion bloodline in them WHY DO THEY NOT ROLL???
THe only time i saw one of them roll was when the hawk attacked (the rolling saved its life)anyway thats my story can anyone give me and advice? thanx

Hey man, it's most likely because you are flying them with homers , homers fly just to fast for the rollers ,your rollers need to fly with your other rollers (creatures of habit), thats your first fault. You didnt say what your rollers age was if there young or have had minimal air time, dont expect alot from these birds, it doesnt matter even if there from champion lines, its the proper training that will help your birds reach there peak , but you really need to fly them with at least 15 rollers together...Later man.......Richard Luna

Pigeon...,
You have to ask yourself, do you want Rollers or Pigeons? If you want rollers, then you have to fly them out right. If you want pigeons, then letting them control their own way of life pretty much a step in the right direction.
You can't have it both ways. We are breeding against mother nature when we select our birds. If you let them be, they will revert back to the Wild Type.
Education is key! Get out and about to meet/see the guys in the area fly their birds.
The trainner has alot to do how their birds will develope.
