G'Day All Do the kit boxs get to hot in summer, i am just geting started, breeding starts at the end of June for me Barry OZ

Yes if you don't have proper ventilation. I have vents in the end of mine as well as on the roof. C.J.

Hello, it would be OK as long as you have some kind of ventilation.
I did breed in June, July, Aug. and work out fine. I am in New Jersey.
Once the molt hit (late Aug.) you may want to give them rest and some birds may not breed even if they are togther
Pay attention to water supply when breeding during hot weather. Make sure breeders have water available at all the time. You can lose youngsters very easily if the water is not supply for even 12 hours period if they are too young.
