my story of my pigeon that rolled and died
It was thursday of last week, the wind was at aproximately 20 miles per hour heading east, the location of the roll was in rio linda california. the time was 6:43 in the morning. I had my young kit of birds fly for about 10 minutes or so, all were about 3 to 4 months old. the birds had a little break near and all of the 7 birds I flew were rolling. It was such a magnificient site. 4 lost their control and the velocity increased(oh oh).. =|, quickly I thought (which one do I catch!) they were flying at about 200 to 175 ft high and coming down really fast. usually my birds would stop at about 20 foot. but these 4 were coming in fast and deep. one managed to stop at about 40 foot, but the other 3 were coming in fast. I chased and managed to catch a black one, but like a 70 mph guy falling on water, the net was like concrete and killed the guy on impact, he even ripped it and and rolled 5 feet on the ground, (already dead, but like what they say, an object at motion will stay in motion) I tried to save it but I couldn't. the other 2 will let's just say they didn't make it, one got carried by the wind to about a block or so away, the other.. slammed into a fence post and then my back yard. only one was able to get out of the roll.

no I wouldn't say I have great birds, I would say I have a great gene. I view my birds as a system of genes that's my opinion. haha. but I believe it is just adverage for a 2 year fancier.
