Hello fellows new to posting here! Looks like a great site to frequent!
Well anyway to my Question? How do you guys feel about Blue Bars?
I have been in the hobby since 2004, and finishing up my second breeding season! I started out with 22 Rollers and now I have about 200 WoW! I breed about 125 a year! I just love it alot! but I noticed something in my breeding! I dont have alot of blue bars maybe 7 or 8 but they all smoke I noticed! They are fast and reliable in the air for me! So I started a week ago breeding more for blue bars! because I have not got one bum blue bar in my family! I hope to fly a blue bar kit by nexted fall fly! Wish me luck

I guess they'll have to call you the "Blue Barron" then! Be carfull you don't breed anything just because it's a blue bar though-I'm sure you won't! I tend to like em' too! That's if they kit like glue, roll from the front to the middle of the kit with velocity and style and thier team players! Mark

It is all in the roll. I have seen great blues and crap ones. You need to give the birds that are producing these hot birds some of the credit. The matings are good or you wouldn't have anything good in the loft no matter what the colour. C.J.

I used to dislike blue bar pigeons whether being selves or white flight or tale. In the past, the few I had were excellent rollers. In my family of birds, Blue bar is their base. No matter how I breed them I get allot of bue bar rollers. I have blue bar rollers more than I care for, but I love their performace and as long as they perform, blue bar are my birds.

Barron - Do not worry about the color but, examine your Blue bars and see if the type is different than the others. Handle them carefully, look at the primaries, keel etc. Also, if they are the best you are producing breed best to best. If you do not mind blue bars, because bars are dominant, continue on and keep them spinning.
