I don't know how many of you guys have felt like you have lost sight of what you wanted to do with your rollers due to being overwelmed with rush of ideas and floating information that just turns us newbies into scatterbrains when it comes down to Breeding, Training, Feeding, Pairing, and choosing the right family of rollers. I know that for one, I will sometimes loose sight of my original goal. I was doing that for two years testing the waters. Again and again until now. Like what Ive heard from someone, I was flopping like a cull roller. I couldn't decide what family to keep and what to dispose. To breed for what qualities first ie: speed, depth, style, etc.; the type; expression etc. I figure that until I came up with a writen plan, I was always loosing sight of my goal. today, I have a plan and I am sticking to that plan until I see those results.
care to share yours?
thanks in advance.

I would recomend Tony's book "How To Breed Better Rollers".His system seems like the best method to solve your problems.Every question you asked is covered in the book.I've read it several times and each time I gather something new.I hope he comes up with an expanded version.Good Luck and check out the book.

My advice to myself and everybody else is to keep it simple. As I always say 'Simplicity does it'. Simplicity allows you to concentrate and achieve tangible results. I also have to remind myself from time to time.

what I would get lost in is a bunch of birds that don't mix, keep a family or closely related birds that way, if I work with 3 families they will all be related somehow..

Thong,
As Jay said , Keep it simple. Think about which trait is the trait to build Your family from. Start there. Everything else will fall in place. Fly a bunch and keep a few. Always breed best to best with YOUR trait in mind.Everyone has different goals is why I am emphasising your birds.
good luck bro

If they don`t kit,they don`t score.
Color don`t roll and peds don`t fly.
