sorry you guys I feel sort of low minded for asking this question because I potentially know only on how to do the back yard flying thing and ask questions. I want to know if you fly for the wc do you have to be a member of the nbrc or any other clubs.. I feel like next year I might try it out.

No, you do not need to be a member of a club or of the NBRC to participate in the World Cup. Only the NBRC requires membership in the NBRC to participate in the National Fall Fly.

nothing really, I feel satisfied with the birds, I mean they aren't perfect, but they are meeting my expectations.

Hey Parlour,
Why would you feel lowminded to ask such a question??I don't know crap about all that technical stuff about rules and regs yet but hoping my mentors in the B.C.Roller Club will help me with that.I'm sure they'll put me on the right track. But hey,you don't learn much if you don't ask questions.

Parlor,
To me the cost to enter the big flies is well worth the investment. Here is what you get: The judge, the Local Area Director (LAD), Most times the Regional Director, and other locals who are out to see the local fly with the judge. Take advantage of all that knowledge in your back yard. Pick there brains, have them handle your best breeders. Ask advice about how you set up your birds for the fly. If your birds came down early, or skied out, or flew flat, they can give you some insight on what to try different. I only get those kind of experts in my back yard twice a year.
WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!

Hey Kelly,
I think Keith gave you excelent advise.I'm going to throw my 2 cents in.First let me say I have never competed with pigeons, but have with four or five different breeds of hunting dogs.Beleive me when I tell you a good handler will beat you more often than a better dog,kit or whatever will.
I've always considered myself a breeder more than a competetor but I have done pretty well in competition too.
But I have had my a$$ handed to me more time than I care to admit with stock I sold to someone else.A oldtimer I coon hunted with use to tell me "when the tailgate drops the bulls--t stops" So the better you understand the rules the better prepared you'll be.

Keith,
Sound advice. That is exactly my reasoning first time out. I never figured on making the finals and meeting Hiene. Was the thrill of my life.

I think I know guys like Billings always make the finals. They are tightwads. They know if they make the finals they get two for one on their entry fees.

Your yb`s from the previous year are usually coming in quite well by the time the WC rolls around.

If they don`t kit,they don`t score.
Color don`t roll and peds don`t fly.
It`s a comp thing,understand?
