I realize when the molting season coming my birds become stiff . They just want to fly around for hour. so, my question, does molting really effect rollers performance????

Yep. Well most birds anyways. There are always some which don't seem to be affected by it, but overall you will see their performance, and even fly time deminish when they are into the heavy molt. The last half of the primary flights and the body molt, mainly when it involves the head and neck are when you will see them acting like they aren't really happy. When I used to raise gamecocks, this is the time when we called them "green" and they didn't like to be handled at all. Same with pigeons.
By the end of September you will see them getting their spirits back.

You bet you behind it does. The moult is very hard on a roller. All the birds energy is going into producing new feathers..so they are a little tired and need to be fed up. They need more rest. When there Flights are coming in..it sometimes hurts them when they roll...so they may land early. The birds can get run down and bump on you just from being mentally drained from the molt. That is why a lot of fanciers give them lots of good oily fatty seed...to give them energy and help them in good feather production.

A lot of fanciers will lock down there birds during the whole molt. Some just rest them a lot more and fly them occasionally. If you do fly them they usually go stiff becuase you are feeding them up because of the molt but in turn it is also beefing them up. Making them strong on the wing. While in the molt your birds will do a lot of different stuff, performance goes down or is very speratic, they either get strong on the wing, or they are landing early...or not wanting to fly at all....they may even roll down on you too.

Just make sure they are getting good rich feed during the molt, rest them more and don't fly them when the last couple of flights are coming in. It is better on the birds.
