I now have 12 young birds in the kit box. They are between 4 and 5 weeks old. At what age can I start to give them cider vinegar and at what amount would I use?
Thanks Chad

You can give it to the breeders while they are feeding the young ones. It is a natural product so you could have had them getting it from day one if you wanted. I use about a capful per gallon. A little goes a long way. If it is too strong the birds will often refuse to drink it. Brian.

Troll, There must be at least half a dozen threads on this site talking about ACV.It is acidic, which bacteria in the birds gut do not like or multiply.ACV is generally good for the body constution, that's one reason it is used in many food recipes for us as well. And by the way,,,take yer caps lock off on your keyboard.Doesnt bother me,but it makes it look like yer yelling.Torpes. ---------- Kelly

Rauf, it really doesn't matter, one tablespoon, one lid full. There is no set standard for giving anything to pigeons other than injections. I have found that over time, one capful is enough to get the job done without fouling the water or making it smell bad. A few drops go a long way. Brian.

Cider vinegar will also stop your drinking water becoming frozen we use it in the uk a lot as we dont have the warmest of winters. Best wishes. w@yne uk.
