Actually, Jay, I think a kit of white rollers flown portable would be much grander sight for the relatives of the dearly-departed or the guests of the newly-hitched, and for a longer period of time for folks to enjoy them, than a kit of homers who might make a couple circles and book home.

No, not really all that rare. Yep, grizzle to grizzle will get you there, or a line of recessive whites.

Hey Ronnie,
Yeah but he's had hawk problems and an overfly that has reduced his numbers from 22 down to 12. He had some fast 20-footers that he lost. Anybody who says a white bird can't spin fast is nuts!!! I think he'll be in for the 11-bird at least. You flying anything this year?

Cliff

Hey Cliff.
Sorry to hear Carter lost that many birds. I to have been visited by the sky sharks pretty heavy. I guess I have been lucky thus far by only losing 4 birds. I went out this morning and Mr shark was just sitting there waiting for me to open the door for breakfast...lol.
I flew this evening and didn't get hit. I noticed the birds perform better in the AM for some reason.
I havent yet decided if I will fly the fall fly. I would like to see my best birds NOT get broke down by the hawks and just hold them for next years WC fly. I have a hand full of youngsters coming off right now and are to good not to fly out. I really don't expect them to make it, but we will see what happens.
I hope I get an invite up to see your birds this FF. It's always a great time with lots of action in your neighborhhood.
See ya soon.

PS Ben's birds are doing better then mine! Damn I knew it!!!

Are white Rollers hard to find and hard to breed?

Yours in the hobby.

Does anybody want to buy 7 yearling white homers. I have a friend in Sacramento that has them and does not want them...he only wants 10bucks a piece. E-mail me and I will give you his phone number if interested. paulfullerton@sbcglobal.net.

As for white rollers. I hae three young birds that are white rollers....two have very slight ticking and one is pure white. Anyway...got two from a brown grizzle hen and tort cock, and another from a red grizzle hen and a blue check pepperhead. was not trying for white...they just came out that way...if they roll good then they will get a shot at the A-team or stock loft..I am color blind..LOL!!
