Coo Coo,
Welcome to the site.Hey,,,we're all a little coo coo around here!!If you read through all the old threads on here, you'll find a wealth of info, guarenteed!
It depends on the family of birds you have how much they will need to be fed,but a general rule is 10 birds,1cup of feed. Some guys feed as little as 1 tbsp per bird, per day.If they are mature birds, they'll perform well eating just wheat or wheat and milo and this time of year during the molt period,a little safflower helps them out.Youngbirds need a good rich mix and feed them up good.
Good luck with your birds
Yours in the sport,
Kelly

CooCoo,

1 US Standard Cup per 10 birds. This is pretty much standard. In other words 8 ounces = 1 Cup = 10 birds.
Amount goes up and down depend on weather condition and how birds react.

Example : if weather is above 85 then I will probably give 6 ounces to 10 birds
&
if weather is below 30 then I will probably give 1 1/2 Cup to 10 birds

Also, feed quality is matter so keep that in mind

Birds reaction is also very important. If birds not trapping in and ignoring your call ... feed less ... if birds wants to come right in and flying for only 3-5 mins (low) then more feed.

I hope that helps

CooCoo, seprate him with fly birds. Either use him for fostering or simply take him couple of miles why and let him go wild.

Sid.I don't agree with turning the rollers loose in the wild. This is the type of pigeons that have caused all pigeons to be thought of as being bad, carrying diseases and crapping over everything.Especially in the towns and cities. If there is no us for them in a loft they need to be made into food or fertilizer. My opinion only. David

Its irresponsible and cruel to take your rollers away from home and release them to starve. Only one in a dozen survives. Those that survive live their brief lives in filth and disease. It is pigeons like that which cause people to call pigeons flying rats. Have the guts to kill them yourself. If you dont have the guts, find a friend with guts to do it for you. Kevin.

-Hi CooCoo;
That bird that flys allover the place and don't want to come in is being fed too much.Don't feed it for about 2-3 days and see how he acts.Birds that act like this are not geneticly prone to act like this because of their breeding.Any young bird will go bananas if you don't pay attention and let it do what it wants. You can only control them with the feed can
