Hello All,
Have been lurking for quite sometime here and have enjoyed it very much. Have a couple of questions for all of you so any and all opinions would be appreciated.
1. What is the perfect interior space needed for a small kitbox.
2. What about a large kitbox?
3. Could you stack them instead of building them side by side?
4. What was the dogs name on the Brady Bunch? :)
Thanks! LR

1. What is the perfect interior space needed for a small kitbox. Depends on the number of kit birds you intend to keep in it.
2. What about a large kitbox? See above. I don't know what you would do with a "large" kit box. Again, it all depends on the number of birds you want to keep in it, your fiscal abilities and how much room you have. For every kit box you want, build at least one more than that. Trust me. 3x3x3 or 3dx4hx4w is a roughly common size.
3. Could you stack them instead of building them side by side? You can. I had had some that were stacked double, but honestly it was kind of a pain in the arse. Side by side is much better and easier to deal with.
4. What was the dogs name on the Brady Bunch? :) The dogs name was Tiger, the cat was Fluffy.

I built mine 4x4x4. I have to use a stool and just about climb in to catch the pigeons. I really wish I'd read these post before I built it. It would be 4'height x 4'wide x 3'deep. Its actually 4x4x16 and divided into four kits. I wish it was 3x4x16. The pigeons seem to be happy to go into which ever trap I open.

My young bird box is 4'wide X 3'deep X 4'tall (32 birds), B-team is 3'wide X 3'deep X 4'tall (25 birds), A-team is 32"wide X 3'deep X 4'high (22 birds). I use the bigger for the young birds..fly alot better as a big group, B-team gives me some room to move birds around and the A-team box is tight..so they really get to know each other.

Guess I didn't want to show my ignorance as to the kit size i.e. large or small.
I assume (you know what can happen) that a small kit would be 15 or less and a large kit 15 or more???
Want to start building soon and guess I need confirmation on the right way to start.
By the way, using Google for trivia question answers.... just doesn't seem right :)

p.s. What was the name of the Urban Assault Vehicle in the movie "Stripes." Bill Murray movie.
