Crows keep many hawks away!!!
i have had crows for two years and i hand feed them expecially for this reason! When i fly my rollers i fly my crows as well. When they see trouble they are right after the hawks. And when they seem the they make lots of noise and my pigeons are used to that so when they here that the crows are loud the know there is a hawk! Crows are amazing for keeping hawks away , and mine come to me when i wistle! its really neat. Its somthing u all have to try there will be alot less hawks around and ur pigeons will be alot more aware! feel free to post your opinions! :)

I have had a bunch of ravens hanging around all year and didn't have trouble with hawks ubtil the ravens left this fall now I have this little #@$%! of a hawk that is wiping out what little birds I have left. My birds are in lock down until further notice.

I wish I could keep native crows legally in Illinois but when I was a kid that never stopped me. My brother and I have raised many crows, and they were fun birds to have around. They will follow you everywhere, very curious and smart. They usually stuck around for almost one year, then they would gradually go back to the wild, showing up only once in a great while as if to let us know they were ok. HeHe

That is a great idea. I live in MN. and there are lots of sky sharks around. I mean alot. How would you check to see if your state allows you to keep crows? That may be the key to my shark problems. Great idea!!! Andreas right?

Does anyone know if crows will chase peregrins also? I am not sure and so that's why I'm asking. Peregrins tend to be more fierce or something so I'm not sure if they'll let a crow mess with them.

Falcons fly alot different, and ahellovalot faster than eagles, let me tell ya!!!200 crows were flying out front of my place down on the beach last weekend when I was flying a kit too early in the day.Them friggin hawks are hungry at that time of day,and they don't give a s---- who is around when it's time to eat. That ol' coopers just takes what he pleases if my birds fly to early.Late in the day, they are not so motivated. The Merlins either.Try it!
