Hey everyone,....Its almost the time of yr that the lock downs begin in the HAWK areas...LOL. Or maybe time to think about your breeding season. A quick question: Is their a central data base where all the band numbers for ROLLERS are kept?? Sush as club bands and personnelized bands. Or are they all registered at different registries?
Just a thought as I consider placing an order for both types of bands.

Hey Paul,

Something to think about are personalized bands also. I purchased some snap on bands with just my phone number on them for birds that were already banded.Got a call from a lady about thirty miles away about a "dove" her kids found.
She had no clue what the other band was for but the phone number was obvious.

I've got those personalised bands on order for next breeding season.Saves someone phoning Saskatchewan to find out who owns a bird here on the west coast.Getting orange ones so maybe the colour will clash with the BCRC bands and I'll have some Mod pigeons!!!

This is just my own personal view. If a pegion is lost due to poor homing, maybe I don't want it back.

I've lost some pegions to overfly but allot made it back. The question is why the others didn't? Was it because of poor homing and loss of direction? I keep asking myself is why the others in the team made it back?
