I do but only when I clean.I use one of the Cap kind with the fan that brings in fresh air.Expensive but works good except for steaming up inside the face shield.David

I do when scraping or cleaning. I use corncob bedding which stays quite dry so there is a lot of dust when cleaning. I use a full face mask with filter cannisters on each side-works great. I worked with research animals for 25+ years so I have become sensitized to animal danders. Geo.

Nothing SEEMS to bother me(solvents, bottom paints for boats) but I wear a regular paper dust mask like drywallers use when cleaning the lofts and kitboxes. It's not like you're being a woossy or a pansy dude. But if living a century interests you, wear a mask. ---------- Kelly

i also only wear a mask when cleaning the loft. When i clean the kitboxs I turn the kit out and then soak everything down with water. Most of the crap comes off with the hose, then scrape the rest. no dust. Also, if I dont wear a mask I gotta listen to HER, lol But really, even if she aint home I do wear it. though sometimes I tell her I didnt wear it just to ruffle her feathers. HA

I wear a HEPA filter (canister) mask when scraping out. On all other occasions when around the loft I wear a $3 or $4 moulded fiber mask with two elastic straps. I buy about 20 of these at a time. They last about two weeks. Stand outside your loft in the early am when the sun rays are horizontal. Release your kit and notice how much dust there is OUTSIDE the loft. Thats why I wear the simple mask any time Im at all close to the loft. Ive lost a lot of lung capacity over the years. I wish I had started wearing the mask sooner. Kevin
